This policy explains what data the CodeBot Discord bot ("the Bot") processes, why, and how you can have it deleted. By using the Bot you agree to this policy.
Data we collect
The Bot stores only the minimum needed for its features. Message content is never stored; leveling and statistics only count that a message was sent. The one exception is the message archive of premium servers whose admins switched message logs on (below). The text you give a reminder is kept until the reminder is delivered.

Temporarily processed data
- Code sent with
/code imageis kept in memory for at most 15 minutes so you can change the theme, and is never written to disk. - Code and input sent with
/code runare forwarded to the public Wandbox service (or the bot owner's own Piston server, if configured) to be executed; no user information is sent. They are kept in memory for at most 15 minutes so you can edit and run again, and are never written to disk. Do not run code that contains secrets. /npm,/pypi,/crates,/mdn,/githuband/stackoverflowlookups send only your search term to that service's public API.- In servers with a starboard, messages that receive ⭐ reactions are read in the moment to count the stars; a message with enough stars is copied to the starboard channel, and the Bot does not store it anywhere else.
- In servers where someone is AFK, messages are read in the moment only to see whether an AFK member was mentioned.
- For messages deleted with
/clear, the author, time and content are sent as a text file only to that server's log channel; the Bot does not keep this transcript. /weathersends only the city name you type to Open-Meteo, and/rpsends only the chosen action (e.g. "hug") to nekos.best.- Music: radio searches go to the radio-browser.info directory. The radio stream, audio link or uploaded file being played is fetched by the Bot's server at that moment and passed to the voice channel; it is not recorded. The queue lives in memory and is gone when the Bot leaves the channel.
/searchsends only the word you look up to Wikipedia, the TDK dictionary or dictionaryapi.dev; the text for a QR code to api.qrserver.com; the link to shorten to is.gd; and/convert currencysends only the currencies to frankfurter.app./animaland/random yesnofetch content from random-image services; no user data is added to these requests.- For “Report to moderators”, the reported message’s content and link and your reason are sent only to that server’s log channel; the Bot does not store them.
- Ticket transcripts (when enabled) are sent only to the server's log channel and the ticket owner; the Bot does not keep them.
- With raid protection on, the IDs and join times of recent members, and with nuke protection on, audit log actions, are counted in memory for at most 1 minute and never written to disk.
- A verification captcha code is kept in memory for at most 5 minutes; for invite tracking, invite codes and their use counts are kept in memory. Neither is written to disk.
- With advert-name screening on, a newcomer's username and display name are checked as they join; the result is only written to the log channel and not stored otherwise.
- Pictures and avatars used with
/imageare only downloaded to apply the effect; the result is posted in chat and not stored. - In servers with GitHub code previews on, messages are read in the moment only to check for GitHub links with line numbers. The linked public file is fetched from GitHub and the requested lines are sent as a reply; neither the message nor the file is stored.
- In the dashboard, your server list is read from Discord and kept only in memory for up to one minute. The dashboard asks only for the
identifyandguildsscopes. - In servers with AutoMod on, messages are read in the moment to check them against the rules. A rule-breaking message is deleted and its content is sent only to the server's log channel; the Bot does not store it. For flood detection, the times of the last few seconds of messages are kept in memory.
- In servers with server logs on, the content of edited or deleted messages and members joining or leaving are sent to that server's log channel. The Bot does not keep these logs anywhere else, except for the premium message archive described in the table above.
- If admins switch on the server showcase in the dashboard, the server’s name, icon, member count, chosen category and description are shown to everyone on codeehub.xyz/sunucular with an invite CodeBot made. Nothing about members is shown. When the showcase is switched off, the server leaves the list within 5 minutes.
Sharing
Your data is never sold, rented or used for advertising. It is processed only to provide the services above and in line with Discord's Developer Policy.
Retention and deletion
- Server admins can delete all data for their server instantly with
/setup → General → Reset server dataor the Data tab of the web dashboard. - A dashboard session is deleted immediately with Sign out, and otherwise expires on its own after at most 7 days.
- Users can request deletion of their data via the support server or by email. Requests are handled within 30 days.
- Paid premium orders are kept for the retention periods the law requires and cannot be deleted on request during that time; they are deleted afterwards.
- Data is stored on servers located in: Türkiye (İstanbul).
- A daily backup of the database is kept on the same server and deleted after 7 days; data that was reset or deleted is gone from the backups after that time too.
Children's privacy
The Bot is not directed at people under the minimum age set by Discord's Terms of Service.
