General
Is CodeBot free?
Yes. Almost every command is free, and servers that add CodeBot get a 7-day Premium trial. 💎 Premium servers get higher limits (for example 50 custom commands and 10 application forms), a 30-day message archive, advanced logs, hourly backups, a monthly report and their own bot name and picture. Coins, items and casino advantages are never sold.
Which languages does it speak?
Turkish and English. By default each user gets their own Discord language; admins can pin one in /setup.
Can I use it in DMs?
Yes. Use Add to your account on the setup page and the code tools work in every DM and group chat. Server features such as moderation need the bot in the server.
Commands don't show up. What now?
Restart Discord with Ctrl+R. If they're still missing, make sure the bot was invited with the applications.commands scope (the invite button includes it).
Privacy & safety
Does it read my messages?
It does not store them. Leveling and statistics only count that a message was sent. AutoMod, auto replies and channel rules look at a message only to act on it, and keep nothing. The one exception is the 💎 Premium message archive: if a server’s admins switch message logs on, deleted and edited messages are kept for 30 days, then removed. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is running code safe?
Code never runs on the bot's server. It is sent to the isolated Wandbox sandbox (or the owner's own Piston server), which stops programs that run too long or use too much memory. No user information is sent with it, but don't run code that contains passwords or tokens. Regex tests run in a separate worker that is killed after 1 second.
How do I delete my data?
Server admins: /setup → General → Reset server data deletes everything instantly. Personal data: contact us. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Why so many permissions?
Each one powers a specific feature; see the permission table. You can untick any of them on the invite screen.
Features
How is XP calculated?
15–25 XP per message, at most once per minute per member. Level n needs 5n² + 50n + 100 XP.
Which code themes are there?
CodeBot Midnight, Dracula, Nord, One Dark and GitHub Light. You can switch themes on an image after it's posted.
Can one member open several tickets?
No, one open ticket per member keeps things tidy. Once it's closed they can open a new one.
