What’s new

What we added to CodeBot, newest first. Ideas and bug reports are welcome in the support server.

  1. Fewer, better commands

    • The math commands are gone; the text, time and converter tools got leaner.
    • The economy fits in 25 commands: 7 jobs with promotions and seniority pay (/job), /daily also hands out the weekly and monthly rewards, and the market is part of /shop.
    • New: /jail (💎 timed), /emoji (💎 25 emojis at once), /snipe (💎 last 10 messages), goodbye and boost messages with /welcome (💎 goodbye card), /role temp.
    • A new Commands tab in the dashboard: every command is listed with its 💎 mark and can be turned off in the server.
    • A new Shards page: every shard live, and find which one your server is on. The header menus now open when you point at them.

  2. A new site, a new dashboard and a stronger premium

    • The site and the dashboard were redesigned: showcase servers on the home page, servers and modules as cards in the dashboard.
    • Premium can now be bought monthly, yearly or for good; discount codes and server ads are here.
    • 💎 Community moderation (/penalty vote), a vanity link guard, advanced registration, a member-of-the-week role, monthly level seasons and invite rewards.
    • 💎 Polls with several picks, a voter role and a results chart; scheduled messages with a picture, colour, buttons and a role ping; your own heading and 4 typefaces on the welcome card.

  3. More for free

    • Tickets: a category and staff role per panel, and closing quiet tickets automatically, are now free for everyone.
    • Higher free limits: 3 application forms, 5 penalty steps, 3 sticky messages, 5 channel rules; AutoMod penalty points are free too.

  4. Ready-made server templates

    • /backup template: set up a community, registration, gaming or developer server with one command; channels, roles, permissions and CodeBot systems together. See the templates.
    • Nothing that exists is changed or deleted; a template only adds what is missing.

  5. An English site, command pages and guides

    • Every page of the site now has an English address too.
    • Every area has its own commands page, for example moderation commands.
    • Step-by-step guides for registration, tickets, applications, penalty points, sticky messages, custom commands and raid protection.

  6. Custom commands and advanced logs

    • /customcommand: add real slash commands to your server, with a message, variables and roles. 3 free, 50 with 💎 Premium.
    • 💎 Advanced logs: voice joins and leaves, role and nickname changes, channel, role and permission changes with who did them; a channel per kind.
    • New dashboard tabs: penalty points, applications, channels and custom commands.

  7. Applications, activity, penalty points and channel rules

    • /application: forms with questions, a review channel, Accept / Deny buttons, a role and a DM on acceptance.
    • /stats: message and voice activity per member, channel and day.
    • /penalty: warnings add up points, and a step punishes on its own.
    • /channel: sticky messages, channels that take only pictures or links, automatic threads and reactions.
    • 💎 Added to Premium: a 30-day message archive, hourly backups, a server colour and a monthly report card.
    • Fun and the economy got simpler: repeated and rarely used commands were removed.

  8. A free trial and a status page

    • Servers that add CodeBot get a 7-day Premium trial, and whoever added it gets 3 days of supporter perks.
    • A status page: how the bot and the dashboard are doing right now.
    • Editing the ticket panel in the dashboard, and new time, maths and conversion commands.

  9. Custom Bot and community tools

    • Custom Bot: every CodeBot feature, under your own bot’s name and picture.
    • Staff stats, a weekly report and public leaderboard pages.
    • Auto replies, role menus, auto roles, and Twitch and Kick stream alerts.

  10. Registration and Premium

    • /register: an unregistered role, registering with name and age, a staff leaderboard, a register card with a button.
    • Removing newcomers with ads in their name, and blocking bots added without permission.
    • Premium: a bot name and picture per server, higher limits, card backgrounds and 24/7 music.

  11. Backups, verification and more

    • /backup: roles, channels and permissions, and putting back what is missing.
    • Verification with a captcha, temporary voice rooms, counter channels, birthdays and scheduled messages.
    • YouTube and RSS alerts, voice XP, image effects and a weekly game tournament.

  12. Security, the economy and games

    • /security: raid and nuke protection, an account age limit, a trusted list and modmail.
    • An economy with a bank, a market, an inventory and crafting; minigames that pay out when you win.
    • A new help menu, music from radio and files, and a full moderation set.
